Sometimes the least obvious makes the most sense. Big tiling wall paper (of the kind that my grandma liked) for a rock 'n' roll site?
David Hellsing (:monc) has developed this stylish site for an upcoming "indoors rock festival" and manages to keep it both sleek and grungy at the same time. The site also includes a simple, but effective, flash animation on the home page.

Grungetastic! Where's my passport?

The Flash skyline is great and it matches the offline flyer design. Are those the floodlights from Gothenburg FC?

A few minor issues in the code:
Menu - a single item list ???
Bold tags ???
Lots of spaces and line breaks ???
Emtpy Paras ???

I also like the wallpaper ...is it flock?

Hi Ted!

I think most of the issues that you listed are due to the use of a CMS. The one thing I suppose can't be blamed on a CMS is the single list item as the menu.

btw. those are not floodlights in the sky. Each night the three biggest Volvos the world has ever seen drive out of the factory with their headlights turned on... :)

Yes, I started out as an inline list menu, but changed it due to win2K's margin problem on inline lists. It still should'be in a list tag if its not a list, Im going to fix this soon.

The empty paragraphs, breaks and bold tags are because of the admin system. The customer likes to write some simpe htmls tags and I allowed it_!

Nice, nice, nice! The flash idea is excellent. I often had problems with clearings (especially after 'float:'), so personally it's not as bad.
