Believe me, I've seen quite a few bad desktop-and-sticky-note site metaphors come through these doors, but Designchuchi's is perhaps one of the best.

I think it succeeds where some other fail because it doesn't take realism to the nth degree -- it creates a nice sharp layout which is clearly illustrative and highly polished, but doesn't belabour the point with gritty textures and photo-realistic objects.

If you're every going to use this scrapbook style, it's probably most appropriate for a design firm. The way that Designchuchi incorporates and allows you to explore their portfolio just goes to show this. Make sure you've got plenty of bandwith, though.

I really like this design too, this kind of scheme isn't easy to pull off. It's attractive and makes me want to ponder around more at it.

I'm again disappointed to see XHTML errors though. Oh well, nice work regardless.

Hi guys

Thanks for your comments, the only validation error was in the urls because of the & in the php session id. This is corrected now though.

It's a great site - very brave. One that may well 'upset' a core band of 'standards designers', but impress those with a broader outlook on web design - hats off to yuz Peter!

Couldn't get better, abstract shapes on vector-based illustration + real photography kindda imagery, cool mixture of objects and perfect color pallete. Bravo, hats off to ya!

This is looking good.

Some critics though about the choice of imagery:
the stationary look with the paperclip, the cross-hairs in the background that has been done zillion times by others. It looks a little too busy too with so much going on.

but the way the imagery was created and looks - that is inspirational!
