WSA Winner

Frozentoast is the portfolio of designer Andrew Harwood. Nice vectorized graphics with a few scattered leaves in the background and a very simple and boxy layout. You almost expect the "flash-like" main content box to resize from section to section.

Unlike most people I usually like a centered popup for showcasing different projects, but I wish Andrew could make Frozentoast more accessible with popups and rollovers that work without JavaScript.

So, it uses divs instead of tables and has a doctype. On the other hand, it's full of totally unnecessary Javascript.

I must admit I like the design, but surely WSA can find other sites more deserving of an award? In my mind at least, standards and acessibility are - and ought to be - inextricably linked.

Nice site in many ways, I like the front page. But its too empty to be a portfolio site and the coding is not very pretty either. Also, cursor: default; makes me sick. I need that hand to show up on links:hover. I don't think this site qualifies as a WSA winner, but that's just my opinion.

The design is very similar to http://vectorize.de/master.html

I'm sure the judges are making an effort to pick sites other than those that absolutely scream CSS (blogs, blogs, blogs), but picking sites that are decidedly less than clean is not the answer. If this is an awards site, let's see sites that are exceptional, not sites that barely rise to some bare minimum. IMHO.

The look is neat, though.

I'am sure the jugges are effort but it not is too or yes?

Vectorize and Superlooper jumped into my head immediatly when I saw the image of the woman on the front page. Its well designed but needs a bit more meat to it. Its nice to see something a bit different.

Too bad the site is on an old version right now. He must be making updates or something.
